Thank you to Council for Opportunity in Education - COE President and CEO Dr. Kirk A. Nooks for visiting FTIUM's state-of-the-art training center in Little Canada last week. The visit highlighted apprenticeship and skilled trades programs preparing students for careers in the finishing trades industry.

“Dr. Nooks’s tour and visit with faculty and students at the Finishing Trades Institute of the Upper Midwest helped everyone see the value of COE and better understand RAPs,” said Thomas Aasheim, Director of Technical Education. “We are grateful for his leadership and dedication to higher education.”

FTIUM has partnered with the Minnesota Training Partnership to bring women free worker readiness training.

This gets women workers four weeks of skills training, here at our state-of-the-art training facility here in Little Canada. They also get sessions on career exploration, job search and retention skills, financial management, and much more.
