Over this past weekend the University sent six students to compete in the TEXO Design Build competition in Dallas, Texas. These competitions are something not everyone could do, we are very proud of our students hard work and dedication. During the Design Build competition students were given a prompt at 8am on Saturday and have it completed and submitted before 12:00am Sunday. During these hours the students had to estimate, schedule, design a prototype, create a presentation, and bid on a project proposal. Along with using Navisworks Software to check for potential overlaps. On Monday the students then had to present their project to group of judges.
This years team included Will Shelton , Claire Swinney, Taylor Long, Brayan Arias, Tevin Mosley, and Brian Barnes. If you see these students in your everyday life or around campus congratulate them for their hard work and dedication!

Over this past weekend the University sent six students to compete in the TEXO Heavy Civil Competition in Dallas, Texas. We are very proud to announce this team won 3rd place. These competitions are something not everyone could do, we are very proud our students placed so high. During the Heavy Civil competition students were given a prompt at 8am on Saturday and have it completed and submitted before 12:00am Sunday. During these hours the students had to estimate, schedule, and bid on a project proposal. Along with doing quantity take-offs. On Monday the students then had to present their project to group of judges.
This years team included Cameron Webb, Matthew Terry, Matthew O’Gary, Cheyenne Smock, Daniel Park, and Cade McWilliams. If you see these students in your everyday life or around campus congratulate them.

It all started in 1962. James A. Rogers Sr. started the company when he was 19 years old and had to borrow $1500 to buy a bulldozer. Fast forward 60 years later, look how far we’ve come!
