Want to write better emails? ✉️ In this video, Dr. Julien Mirivel shares the #1 tip backed by research. A study comparing two very different workplace cultures found that the best communicators don’t just send information in emails — they build connection. A simple warm greeting or thoughtful closing can transform your email (and your relationships). Bonus Tip: focus on the relationship, not just on content.

In this video, you will learn my #1 tip to write a great email at work. Leaders and professionals often use email to transmit information, but the best commu...

SHARE YOUR STRENGTH:
Facing Medical Adversity with Resilience
Shining Light through the Darkness of Complex Medical Journeys

You are invited to participate in an Applied Communication graduate research study!

The purpose of this study is to discover how positive communication practices help families develop resilience specifically when caring for medically complex children.

Engaging in this research will help scholars and practitioners understand how resilience operates and the role that positive communication can play in maintaining and building resiliency.

The research questions driving this project include:
1. How is resilience built and maintained in families with medically complex children?
2. What is the role of positive communication in fostering individual and familial resilience?

By seeking to answer these questions, my goal is to identify specific practices that will encourage and inspire families while facing adversity in the future.

To participate in this study, you must meet all of the following criteria:
(a) have spent a significant amount of time in the hospital with your child
(b) have a child with a special condition that requires frequent hospital appointments, procedures, or admissions
(c) are willing to share how your journey has cultivated resilience

Participation in this study includes an online interview via Zoom (interviews will take 30 to 45 minutes to complete). If you are interested in participating in this project, please reach out to me personally by email ([email protected]).

Once you reach out to her directly, she will confirm that you meet the qualifications for the study and schedule the Zoom meeting.

Please feel free to pass this recruitment message on to others who might be a good fit for this study.
