UAMS College of Pharmacy Kappa Epsilon - Alpha Theta Chapter

UAMS College of Pharmacy Kappa Epsilon - Alpha Theta Chapter Alpha Theta Chapter Kappa Epsilon (ΚΕ) is a professional pharmacy fraternity founded on May 13, 1921.

It was founded with the purpose of uniting female pharmacy students in an era when women were a minority in the profession. Today, KE has 43 collegiate chapters and 10 alumni chapters. Over 20,000 women and men have been initiated into ΚΕ since its founding. Kappa Epsilon's national projects are promoting awareness of breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

✨MEET THE EXEC MONDAY✨

Our social chair for this academic year is Emily Carter! She is currently a P3 and is originally from Greenbrier, AR. She attended the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) for college and is interested in the community field of pharmacy. Two of her favorite things to do in her free time are drink coffee and go shopping. She also loves to spend time with friends and family and her favorite thing about KE is getting to know people from other classes during our events.

P2, Jennifer Portillo, is our new social chair assistant!! Russellville, AR is her hometown and she attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville for undergrad. Jennifer plans to go into community pharmacy. She loves to go on walks and read (Colleen Hoover, of course) in her down time. Jennifer’s favorite part about KE is all the friendships that she has made so far.

✨MEET THE EXEC MONDAY✨

Lauren Saulsbery is a P3 and this year's Northwest Liaison. Lauren is on the Northwest campus and is from Bentonville, AR. She went to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and enjoys doing puzzles in her free time. Lauren’s favorite thing about KE was the Christmas party last year. She intends to pursue a career in pediatric oncology pharmacy.

Lexi Jacobus is our current chaplain for the academic year. Lexi is a P3 and her hometown is Cabot, AR. Lexi graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and is interested in pursuing a career in hospital/ambulatory care pharmacy. In her free time, Lexi enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her favorite thing about KE is how much we all support one another. Lexi is looking forward to serving with a wonderful group of women this year!!

✨MEET THE EXEC MONDAY✨

Zoe Ledbetter is a current P3 and is serving as our philanthropy chair this year. She is originally from Fordyce, Arkansas and attended Arkansas Tech University for college. Zoe’s favorite hobbies include going to concerts or any live music events as well as sports games such as hockey. Her favorite thing about KE is just getting to spend time with everyone in the organization. Zoe is interested in pursuing a career in community pharmacy.

Our new philanthropy chair assistant is, P2, Jessica Allred. Jessica’s hometown is Alexander, AR and she currently wants to go into pediatric critical care pharmacy. Jessica attended the University of Central Arkansas for undergraduate and her favorite hobbies include going to the gym as well as golfing. Her favorite thing about KE is how much support everyone gives and how much we bond through the organization. Fun Fact: She’s an identical twin!
