🎖️ Congratulations to our Wayland Baptist University – San Antonio Second Lieutenants! 🎖️

We watched with immense pride as five WBU-SA students were commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army at the UT-San Antonio Army ROTC Spring 2026 Commissioning Ceremony held at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

These outstanding men and women completed their journey through the San Antonio RoadRunner ROTC Program — one of five San Antonio-area universities united under this exceptional program — and they did it with honor, grit, and dedication.

The pinning of those gold bars by their loved ones, and the raising of their right hands to take the Oath of Office, are moments none of us in that auditorium will ever forget.

Wayland Baptist University is proud to stand behind every student who chooses to serve.

Our military community is the backbone of who we are, and these new officers carry our values — and our flag — forward.
