Posts and other content specifically added by administrators to any of Madonna University’s Social Media* pages are official Madonna University content. Madonna University reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to screen and remove any content it deems inappropriate. This includes commercial content whose primary purpose is to sell a product, a service, or other such pract
ices via the Madonna University page, as well as content that harasses, abuses, threatens, or in any other way violates the rights of others. Although it may screen and remove content, Madonna University is not responsible for the content posted by others on the Madonna University page. We also reserve the right to remove posts containing any and all links. Opinions expressed by other users do not necessarily reflect the opinion of Madonna University. User provided content is not always screened or evaluated during the submission process, however, Madonna University will not allow abusive language, racial slurs or any content viewed as hostile or inappropriate to stay on its official pages. Comments deemed inappropriate will be removed by administrators. All content posted by staff is bound by the University’s Standards of Conduct (section 2.8 of the staff handbook) and the Personal Use of Business Equipment policy (section 2.11). Further, user are expected to abide by applicable laws, regulations, rules and policies including the University’s Student Code of conduct, the University's Sexual Harassment Policy, and other regulations and policies concerning public communications. It is important to remember that what you say and post online has real world ramifications. We expect our staff and students at Madonna University to conduct themselves in the same manner online that they do in person, always keeping in mind the core values and teachings of this Franciscan University.
*Social Media are defined as any online tools for social interaction and promotion such as Facebook and Twitter. We encourage users to report content that violates Facebook's Code of Conduct by using the official Facebook procedure.
