Introducing our Vice President Oaklyn Steffon!

“Being on council has been on of the greatest opportunities in kappa delta. It’s taught me how to push myself out of my comfort zone and better understand myself and the kind of leader I am. I have learned leadership skills, organization, communication, but most importantly I have been able to build relationships with so many amazing women I otherwise would not have.
I went KD because it felt like home and the women treated me with so much kindness. I felt like I truly belonged and met people who I was able to connect so quickly to.
Fun facts about me:
I like going to the gym
I can do a backflip
I am a kinesiology major
My favorite season is fall”

Introducing our Panhellenic Delegate Kaitlin Ryder

“Hi, my name is Kaitlyn Ryder, and I currently serve as Kappa Delta’s Panhellenic Delegate and joined Fall 2025! I am a sophomore studying Elementary Education, and I am from Sycamore, Illinois! I have always had a huge love for leadership and holding leadership positions, so I knew right away when I joined KD that I wanted to serve on council. Council has helped me in so many ways. First, it has allowed me to meet and make connections with so many of our members! It has also helped me grow my confidence. From talking in chapter every week to reaching out to other chapters to plan socials, my confidence has skyrocketed, and I am so thankful for it. I joined Kappa Delta because I wanted to make more friends! After moving far from home, I was struggling to make friends, but after my first conversation with women in KD, I felt so loved and welcomed. I am so lucky to not only have found forever friendships but also find leadership, confidence, and a love for serving others!“

Introducing our VP Learning and Development Alli Christensen!!

“Hi my name is Alessandra Christensen!! I am Kappa Delta’s VP learning and Development. Being in this council position has helped me grow closer to Kappa Delta by being able to welcome and support our new members, planning and executing bid day, and growing closer to our ritual.
My whyKD is my amazing roommate Oaklyn. We decided to room together in the KD house my second semester and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Oaklyn is the definition of honorable, beautiful, and highest. She is one of the most genuine friendships I’ve ever had, and I will forever be grateful for Kappa Delta and the KD house for bringing us together. My whyKD is also my KD family. I have never had such an amazing support system for everything I do in my life. I love each and every one of them so much and I know we will be friends for life.
Some fun facts about me:
My favorite drink is Diet Coke and I have one almost every day.
I was a dancer my whole life and I did Drill Team.
I collect Sonny Angles.
I was a pool manager for 3 years.
My dream vacation is Berlin, Germany
I LOVE my major psychology and I want to go to Law school. ”
