Meet our Panhellenic Council President, Deanna Smith!

My major is social work
I am from highland Utah
Hobbies are that I love cooking painting crafting reading Netflix
I went Greek when I was a sophomore and I went Greek because I wanted to get to know more women and be more involved in campus and I have taken away from being Greek the chance to be involved in leadership positions I never dreamed possible, making everlasting friendships, being involved in my sorority and on campus, getting to know people from all walks of life, getting to know myself better and set higher standards for myself
Fun fact about me is that I am working on a research grant with the school and currently working with domestic violence victims on campus

Everyone meet our VP of the Panhellenic Council, Regan Eggli!!
Major: Biology Pre-Med student; minor in Psychology and Chemistry

Where I'm From: Taylorsville, Utah

Hobbies: painting, dancing, watching space documentaries, traveling, spending time at the gym, fan-girling over Beyoncé and Margot Robbie.

Why I went greek: I came up to Utah State not knowing anyone! I was looking for opportunities to get to know people and gain leadership and volunteer experience, and found a home in the Greek Community.

Why I stayed Greek: I found an incredible home and support system in the people around me that push me to excel in things I wouldn't dare challenge myself in! I've made some of my best friends, and found the perfect way to get involved on/ off campus.

Fun fact: I originally came to Utah State because I fell in love with the cadaver lab

Everyone, meet Jacie Rex!

Major: History

Minors: Latin, Anthropology

Hobbies: A few of my favorite things include traveling, drinking coffee, reading, camping, fishing, hanging out with friends, and being involved on campus.

Fun Fact: My first words as a baby were “What’s that” and that pretty much describes me and my curiosity of the world.

Why I went Greek: I went Greek because I wanted true lasting friendship. During high school my volleyball team was my support system and I knew that I not only wanted a support system, but that I needed one. My father also went Greek and encouraged my decision.

What Greek life has given me:

Greek life provided opportunities for me to not only get involved within my sorority, but also within USUSA and other organizations on campus. It has given me life long friendships. Going Greek has provided me with job opportunities and endless networking. I will forever be grateful for joining this Greek community

Major: Both Political Science & International Studies
Hometown: Parma, Idaho
Hobbies: I like doing nothing with great people, reading, and anything that deals with food.
Fun Fact: My spirit animals are a manatee or a sleeping koala.
Why I went Greek: I wanted to be involved and make a difference in the community. The Greek community gave me that and so much more!
What Greek life has given me: It's given me my second family & a home away from home. I now have a community that encourages each other to be the best version of themselves.

Meet our wonderful VP of Recruitment, Riley Michaelsen!
Major: Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Sciences with an emphasis in Bioveterinary Science
Hometown: Charleston, South Carolina
Hobbies: Normally I love to bake, hike, read, and go on adventures. This semester my hobbies will be studying, going to meetings, and earning internship hours.
Fun fact: When I was 3 my dream was to grow up and become a Dalmatian. I've since decided being a vet is probably the better way to go 😉
Why I went Greek: I had just moved 2000 miles away from home and was looking for a way to get involved on campus as well as a way to meet new people. Greek life gave me the best of both worlds.
What Greek life has given me: An incredible network of friends and peers who lift me up and inspire me to be my very best self. Greek life opens the door for so many opportunities to lead and grow in ways that you can't get from any other organization. I have gained precious friendships and memories from my involvement in the Greek community.
