Foothill College Library The Library is a student-focused place offering access to information resources, services, and instruction.

The Library offers a rich collection of information resources in print and online to support the college’s curriculum in basic skills, transfer, and career/workforce preparation. Resources include approximately 90,000 books, 200 print periodical subscriptions, 325 DVDs (housed in the Media Center), and a reserve collection of high-demand textbooks. The Library is also the gateway to e-books, onlin

e encyclopedias, thousands of periodicals in a variety of databases, art images, streaming educational videos, and NoodleBib, a citation assistance and instruction tool.

As you prepare for finals, please note library hours have been extended! Librarians will be standing by in person and online for last-minute research questions and help citing sources. Circulation staff will be available to check out any materials you may need (except on Friday March 20 when the Circulation Desk is closed for Classified Professional Development Day. There will no checkout of items such as textbooks, calculators, laptops at this time).

📣 Announcement 📣 The Circulation Desk will be closed on Friday, March 20 due to a Classified Staff Professional Development Day. If you need to check out items (e.g., books, textbooks, calculators, or computers), please plan to do so by Thursday, March 19, or visit us Monday, March 23, when Circulation services resume. Starting next week, Foothill Library will be having Extended Hours for Finals! We will be open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday, December 1st through Thursday, December 4th, and Monday, December 8th through Wednesday, December 10th. We will also be open from 9 am to 3 pm on Friday, December 5th. At the library you can access research support via librarians, reserve group study rooms, and have a quiet and tranquil place to focus.
