🎉 Welcome to LA, Cohort III!! ☀️

In case you missed it on Instagram, we’ve been introducing the incoming MFA in Screen Acting students of Cohort III, the Class of 2025!

Their 2-year, 2-city journey takes off on Monday in Los Angeles. Students spend their first year at OCU-LA and their second year in London at Goldsmiths University of London.

Cohort I has officially completed their final semester in their MFA Screen Acting journey. We loved reuniting with members of Cohort I this past weekend at our industry presentation. As our new graduates reenter the industry, we asked them to reflect on the challenges, growth, work, and discoveries from these past two years.

Congratulations to the OCU MFA in Screen Acting Class of 2023!

This past Saturday, the 15 students of Cohort I officially graduated from the MFA in Screen Acting program. These students will forever be our first graduating class and have paved the way for Cohorts II, III, and beyond, through their creativity, ambition, resilience, and courage. After 17+ classes and countless productions & projects between Los Angeles and London, we couldn’t be more proud of all that they’ve accomplished. We’re thrilled to launch them into (or back into) their careers, equipped with the skills, experience, knowledge, and new connections garnered over the last 2 years.

BUT their journey isn’t quite complete. Most of the Cohort I graduates are participating in our LA Industry Presentation on May 20, an event designed to highlight and connect them with the entertainment industry in LA.

Let’s have a round of applause for “Where Are You From?”, written by Sango Tajima and directed by Anirudh Mohan with Chris Bates Jr. as Director of Photography.

Sango is asked by several people in different settings the simple question – “Where are you from?” She has different answers for every single one of them…but what would happen if she told the whole truth?

Fun Fact: every student in the cohort was involved in the filming of the project! Stay tuned for more pics from Cohort II’s projects.

We recently had our second panel of the semester with industry guests Arturo del Puerto, Rebebbca Mazouz, and Elan Fingles. We can’t thank them enough for their insight, words of wisdom, and hilarious stories!

Del Puerto is an actor known for his roles on Fear the Walking Dead, Chicago P.D. Ride Along 2, and the Apple TV+ original science fiction space drama series For All Mankind. Mazouz is currently at Colin Jost’s production company with an overall television deal at Universal TV after serving as the literary coordinator at Thruline Entertainment, a management-production company whose credits include THE GREAT and PSYCH. Fingles is currently a production coordinator at Toluca Pictures, Steve Stark and Stacey Levin's production company with a first-look deal at MGM/Amazon, whose works include The Handmaid's Tale, Fargo, Wednesday and more.

The conversation was moderated by Jesse Murphy, VP of Television for Wonderland Sound and Vision and our very own instructor for Bridges to Industry I & II.

Give it up for our brilliant actors! Their talent, focus and commitment in front of the camera was captivating and they each brought such amazing vitality and groundedness to their characters. They also kept us laughing between takes!

“What a whirlwind of excitement, stress, joy, exhaustion and accomplishment principal photography is! Big thanks and endless appreciation to the talented cast and crew for their herculean efforts on set. We wouldn’t have made it through a single day without these incredible people working arm in arm on both sides of the camera. Kudos to for penning the fabulous script for Chapter 2: Ash! That's a wrap! Production week has come to an end for the next chapter of 15. Chapter 2: Ash is a new standalone story written by Miyoko Conely (), Produced & Directed by Bob Shryock () with Ricardo De La Cruz () as DP & Editor. We’re thrilled to share a few photos of the tireless, amazing crew who were instrumental in filming this short.
