Meet our October Leading Woman of the Month, Sonja Kobayashi! Sonja is a junior from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, studying Psychobiology with a minor in Global Health. On campus, she is a volunteer for Camp Kesem, a week long camp for children whose parents have been affected by cancer, and is a part of Global Brigades, an organization that implements sustainable health systems in remote or rural areas. Previously, she worked under surgeons from the UCI Medical School, and now she has started a position as a research assistant for the UCLA DiSH Lab (Dieting, Stress, and Health Lab). In her free time, Sonja loves hitting the beach, snowboarding, hiking, and jamming out to music with her friends. Keep killing it Sonja! 👩🏻‍🔬🍃🌟
