Theta Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated The Tenacious Theta Mu Omega Chapter is continuing the tradition of service of Alpha Kappa Alpha thr C. Irvine and one at U.C. Santa Barbara.

In response to the demand of graduate sisters to form a local chapter, Theta Mu Omega, often referred to as “The Progressive Ladies of Inglewood and Los Angeles County,” was chartered on December 18, 1966 with Eugenia Scott as president. Fifty-two outstanding women were apart of this chartering ceremony and became CHARTER MEMBERS OF THE THETA MU OMEGA CHAPTER. Subsequently, the chapter has more than doubled its membership. It has also spawned the organization and chartering of three alumni chapters, Mu Beta Omega, Mu Lambda Omega, Sigma Lambda Omega, and two undergraduate chapters one at U. Theta Mu Omega has been recognized locally, regionally and nationally for their service and has won both national and Regional awards over the years for outstanding chapter program activities.

💚🌿 GREENwell Weekend Recap 🌿💚

Two days. One community. Endless sisterhood. 💕💚

AKA TMO was proud to participate in GREENwell, beginning with a meaningful day of service as we joined our community in beautifying Bruce’s Beach. Together, we rolled up our sleeves, cared for this historic space, and demonstrated the power of collective action and stewardship. 🌱🌊

Day Two brought us together in a different way as we connected, celebrated, and strengthened our bonds with our sisters from local chapters throughout the community. 💕💚 There is something special about coming together in service and sisterhood, building relationships that extend beyond our individual chapters.

From community impact to sisterly connection, GREENwell was a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together.

Service. Sisterhood. Community. 💚💗
That’s the AKA TMO way!
