📼 This International Archives Week, discover how archives help preserve cultural memory and support Indigenous communities across generations.

Funded by the UCLA Library Modern Endangered Archives Program (MEAP), the Digital Archive of the Indigenous Languages of the Amazon (ARDILIA) works to preserve and revitalize the rich oral cultural heritage of the Murui, Magütá and Miraña peoples of the Colombian Amazon.

Once deteriorated or believed lost, recordings of spoken narratives, chants and ceremonial discourses have been repaired, digitized and preserved, helping keep languages, traditions and cultural knowledge accessible.
