The Black Student Alliance (BSA) of Occidental College has 5 major purposes: 1. Hold successful programs that will provide the Oxy community with valuable experiences of African culture and cultures of the African Diaspora. 2. To do collaborative programs with other Multicultural organizations.3. Have high quality and efficient sessions, whose schedule is to be determined by E-Board, that meet the

needs of the membership as individuals and as a community, by addressing important issues on campus and in society at large.4. Participate actively in the surrounding community and in important activism events that directly affect our membership.5. Provide the membership with beneficial information that will support them academically and in their future career goals by way of strengthening Alumni and Campus Administration relationships.

Hey y'all! In honor of Black History Month BSA is hosting a volunteer day at the Good Shephard Center! If you missed out on MLK Day of Service and you're looking for a way to give to back to the community you should come out and volunteer with us. We are going to the Good Shephard Center on Saturday February 3rd at 1:00 pm! We are looking for about 8 volunteers so please message me if your interested in signing up!
