Meet Arturo Rodrigues, a second-year Financial Actuarial Mathematics major from the Alpha Sigma class of Fall 2020. He will be interning at Credit Suisse next summer as an investment banking summer analyst. He says, “Besides personal growth, the people at DSP are genuinely investing in my professional growth. Coming to UCLA, I didn’t know what professional path I wanted to go down. DSP helped me navigate that process and that brought me to investment banking which I’m pursuing right now. The support I’ve received during my recruiting season has been invaluable.”

Meet Pranav Maddali, a second-year Math Econ major from the Alpha Tau class of Winter 2021. He says, “DSP has been a great pipeline of resources for someone who didn’t know which path he wanted to explore. While the entire fraternity is always there to shed light on their experiences in their career, just knowing them and their goals gives you a lot of confidence in what you can achieve at your time at UCLA. One of the best aspects of DSP is the fact it has a great history of brothers pursuing tech and that fact allows me to tap into those resources even in a business fraternity.”

Wondering what life is like after college? Meet Kevin Chen, a recent UCLA graduate from the Alpha Nu class. He said, “Joining DSP means being part of a camaraderie that extends well beyond one’s college career. Even as a DSP alumni, I know I can always approach a brother for professional guidance or just to hang out. As a full-time software engineer, I have learned that there is almost always a brother in a field that you’re interested in who would be happy to chat and help you out. It is comforting to know that as a college student trying to find your way, there are always experienced DSP alumni that would willingly take you under their wing and assist you with your professional and personal development.”

“The pledge process is designed to kick start pledges off with vital skills utilized in business so that they can both identify their career aspirations as well as strive to achieve them. We hope to help pledgees navigate the business world through a series of events. These include industry workshops, resume and cover letter building exercises, public speaking opportunities, and mock interviews.”

Wonder what pledging was like? Meet Jimmy Zhou, a second-year Economics major from the Alpha Sigma class of Fall 2019. As a freshman at UCLA, pledging Delta Sigma Pi really helped him find a group of individuals unlike any other. Jimmy says “DSP has been by far one of the greatest communities where I’ve met some of my closest friends. Pledging helped us really get to know each other in a fun and educational way.
