The SVO is holding elections!

They will be holding elections for officer positions starting next week beginning Monday, May 11th. To prepare for elections, they are asking for self-nominations to fill all SVO officer positions. Those holding positions who would like to remain in office should nominate themselves again. Nominations will be open starting May 6th until Friday, May 8th at 11:59PM. Voting will open Monday, May 11th and close Wednesday, May 13th at 11:59PM

Here are the positions available for nominations:
President
Vice-President
Treasurer
Secretary
Marketing Committee Chair
Events & Programs Chair
They are asking that those who are interested in office be available 1-2 days during the summer semester (in-person preferred) to meet for a smooth transition to new leadership. To ensure the SVO is properly registered with the MIC and that all materials are turned over, so the organization is ready to hit the ground running come Fall 2026.

We all want the Student Veteran Organization to continue being a great source of connection and professional development for veterans on CSUN’s campus. After reviving this chapter just last Spring 2025, they are determined to guide its success beyond what we originally imagined.
