Jennifer Lynn Warren also has her B.F.A. in theater from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She had the honor to serve as the graduate assistant for the class of 2026! You may know her from playing Borquita LaLaurie in American Horror Story. She’s also worked as an actor with Tommy Lee Jones, Angela Bassett, Conan O’Brien, and Pruitt Taylor Vince. Her short film, which she wrote and directed, F.U.A.I, has been playing in festivals around the world for three years. Her other short, Jimmy, was a quarterfinalist for Killer Shorts screenwriting festival. She is interested in taking normal everyday life, and ruining it for you by turning it into a horror film. In June, she will begin teaching screenwriting to incarcerated youth through the Michael’s Daughter Foundation. She will also be in the fringe festival show “The Resurrectionists” this June. And if that won’t keep her busy enough, she is also the project manager for the upcoming documentary “This is Buzz“. “The most impactful part for me as a writer in this program has to be my ability to turn out pages. I thought I was prolific before, but I never knew I could write as many scripts of such good quality so fast. I have my mentors to thank for that! Now I can’t stop! All of my fondest memories have been the moments members of my cohort saw the work myself and the school were doing to cultivate everyone’s success, and it made me realize how important my position as a GA was. I can’t believe I got to be such a small but important part of the journey of these amazing writers! But I know the best memories are yet to come, as we hear about all the success my cohort will celebrate together in the future.”

Celina Dobson ;
A weirdo by birth, Celina specializes in writing q***r fantasy with heart that demonstrates the power of belonging beyond blood. Her stories explore themes of worthiness, connection and identity through found family bonds to show the misfits of the world that they’re not broken and they’re not alone. In fact, we’re amazing! Her scripts have received accolades from many organizations including: Austin Film Festival, CineStory, and Roadmap Writers. In 2025, her Invincible spec, “Sometimes…” was an official selection for The Stunt List Season 4. She was recently accepted as a voice acting mentee through Women In Animation and is using skills from that program to write, produce and voice her own solo role-play adventure podcast, RP OMG! set to come out later this year.
“The mentorship component and camaraderie with my cohort was the most impactful aspect of the program. I wanted to consciously cultivate a community of peers that could support each other in the program and beyond and I absolutely found that. One of my favorite moments was during the early days of our first residency when Jon Vandergriff gave a lecture that brought me to tears with his examples. In that moment, I knew not only that I belonged, but that this was a safe space and safe people to be emotionally vulnerable with - something I believe is essential in order to be an impactful, meaningful storyteller.”

Anna Wright
Anna Wright is a talented songwriter and performer from Detroit and Cleveland, known for her emotive collaborations with artists such as Toni Braxton, Dru Hill, and Ginuwine. Her journey took a transformative turn as a contestant on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” where she lost over 100 pounds, inspiring many. Now based between Cleveland and Atlanta, Anna is advancing her narrative skills while completing an MFA in Screenwriting. She aims to craft light dramas and comedies, aspiring to see her feature scripts produced. With training in Meisner and Strasberg techniques, she has appeared in series like “NCIS: New Orleans” and wrote, produced, and directed her debut short film, “The G.O.A.T.” Committed to inspiring through her art, Anna embodies resilience and creativity.  “The most impactful aspects of the Stephens College MFA program have been the focus on industry standards and invaluable networking opportunities. Rigorous instruction has boosted my confidence and refined my skills, enabling me to write scripts that resonate in the field. Interacting with guest speakers and industry insiders has allowed me to forge meaningful connections, ensuring recognition within the industry for future collaborations.  During my first semester in August 2024, I had a surreal experience when I met Meg DeLoach, an admired writer and producer. While throwing something away, we unexpectedly crossed paths. To my astonishment, she said, “Hi, I know you!” Grinning ear to ear, I couldn’t believe it. She took time to chat and encouraged me to reach out directly. Meeting someone I aspired to connect with was a remarkable twist of fate, reminding me that dreams can manifest unexpectedly.

Narsimha Gour Chintaluri is an experimental screenwriter and filmmaker, focused primarily on character study. “I have a deep interest in observational drama, what I view as fly-on-the-wall filmmaking that places an emphasis on character and subtext over plot. Thematically, I am obsessed with the inner lives of ordinary people and the feeling of “coming of age” at different stages of life. By stretching the bildungsroman model, and by intentionally reflecting the inner child in every character, I hope to write & direct TV & film that inspires a transcendental appreciation for the nature of our existence. I have spent the last decade of my life finding my way to now - a moment in time where I finally feel fully committed to my craft. Anyone who pursues this career knows how daunting it can be. Prior to joining this program, I had become insecure about every aspect of my technique. What Dr. Welch and this program have done for my confidence and sense of self can’t be understated. This program recontextualizes the importance of screenwriting - and representation of voices therein - arguing that this industry would (and may as well) collapse upon itself if not for the writer. It openly and wholeheartedly advocates for the preservation of this art form as the industry continues to devalue its importance, and it encourages its students to equally champion their passion. It has been just as inspiring to gain a deeper understanding and love for the history of this artform. I’m certain the impact of this program will pay dividends for the rest of my artistic journey. I love all my cohorts dearly and every workshop was a life-affirming adventure (despite the occasionally life-threatening weather conditions). The first workshop there was an earthquake (apparently) while I was semi-underground watching Spike Lee’s “Crooklyn” at the Egyptian. The second time around there were, you know, the fires! We finished our lectures under an orange sun and a plume of ash. I feel like if you’re an MFA candidate who survived a natural disaster during their program, you deserve to be hired immediately post-grad.
