The next UNM-Valencia Poetry Club meeting is focusing on an Ofrenda Poetry Workshop. The workshop is Tuesday, October 20th from Noon to 1:30pm at the UNM-Valencia Library. Learn how to write an Ofrenda poem to honor your loved ones in a unique way. Your poem can then be placed at the Día de los Mu***os Altar showcase on October 28th.

Dual credit counselors' lunch was hosted today at UNM-Valencia. High school counselors from Belen High School, Los Lunas High, Mountainair High and School of Dreams Academy ECHS came together to discuss all things dual credit and share ideas. The lunch also included a highlight presentation about the college prep program, Upward Bound at UNM-Valencia. Student applications for Upward Bound are now being taken.
