Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We hope everyone is feeling lucky 🍀 and blessed 😇 today and that you all are finding pots of gold and joy.
Although we love all the fun that St. Patrick’s Day brings, such as wearing your green outfits and celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to share a bit of the history behind this lovely holiday.
Who is St. Patrick❔❔❔🤨
St. Patrick was born in Roman Britain. At the age of 16, someone kidnapped him and transported him to Ireland, where he lived as a slave for six years. He faced numerous challenges during those years, which strengthened and reaffirmed his faith. Years later, he escaped and went home, but he decided to return to Ireland to share his experience and religion of Christianity with the Irish people. His message of resilience and strength in his faith helped to convert thousands of people.
Fun fact 🌈
While explaining the Holy Trinity to the Irish, he used a shamrock with three leaves to represent the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The shamrock is still widely used in modern celebrations as an emblem of Ireland. ☘️
Celebration date 🗓️
We celebrate 🎉 on March seventeenth because it is believed that this is the day he had passed. This is our way of remembering him and celebrating Irish heritage.
We hope you all learned something new from this and share this information while you’re off celebrating today. Don’t forget to take a moment to celebrate the rich history behind today.
