A historical milestone for the College of Business!

The Fall 2024 Online MSBA Part-Time Cohort officially graduated this month and walked the stage at the university-wide commencement ceremony on May 9th.

When the Online Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program first launched in 2023, it was offered exclusively as a full-time option. In Fall 2024, we introduced a dedicated part-time track, splitting the program into 13-month (full-time) and 20-month (part-time) options. This group is the very first part-time cohort to successfully navigate the extended program and complete their degree.

This month, we celebrated the phenomenal Fall 2024 Online MBA Cohort. On May 8th, we gathered for our College of Business graduation celebration to honor this incredible group of leaders before they walked the stage at the university-wide commencement ceremony on May 9th.

Earning an MBA online takes immense dedication, sacrifice, and resilience. Bringing these students together in person to celebrate their hard work alongside faculty, staff, the dean, and Big Louie was the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable journey.

The UofL College of Business was deeply honored to host Ambassador Andrew Young as the final speaker for our "Soul of Management" graduate elective course. As a champion of civil and human rights for over 65 years, Ambassador Young shared invaluable insights from his storied career as a U.S. Ambassador to the UN, a member of Congress, and the Mayor of Atlanta.

His reflections on his work alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his lifelong dedication to service left a lasting impact on our graduate students. Thank you to Ambassador Young for sharing his time and wisdom.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Amy Henley, Dean of the UofL College of Business, for her warm introduction of the Ambassador, and Dr. Nat Irvin and Dr. Westina Matthews for moderating this profound conversation.

Congratulations to Fall 2024 Online MBA Cohort member Chris Nation on being selected for ’s Bingham Fellows Class of 2026.

This prestigious civic leadership program brings together 40–45 regional leaders each year to collaborate on solutions to Louisville’s most pressing challenges. The 2026 class will explore the topic “Tech-Driven, Human-Centered: Louisville’s Strategy for the AI Age.”

Chris is also finishing his final semester in the Online MBA program while serving as marketing manager at Mirazon.

Four weeks have flown by since the Spring 2026 Online MBA Cohort began their journey! Here is a closer look at the professionals making up our newest cohort.

With an average of 9 years of professional experience, this group brings a wealth of real-world insight into the virtual classroom. Five of these students already hold advanced degrees, including an MD and a PhD, and their academic backgrounds span everything from biochemistry and psychology to finance and computer science. We are also proud to share that 40% are UofL alumni returning to their roots, while 5 students serve as active-duty military or veterans. Though they are spread across 9 different states, they are officially united as Cardinals.

We are thrilled to welcome this diverse group of leaders into the UofL family and can’t wait to see how they’ll shape the future of business together.
