Reminiscing about Brotherhood Week with Lambda Iota Mu...✨

We kicked off the week with a short and sweet mini‑induction welcoming three new brothers into our chapter! Afterward, some stuck around for a few rounds of trivia hosted by our Brotherhood Chair, MJ.

Monday brought a movie and craft night where brothers worked on designing masquerade masks for Saturday's date party. Lookin' good guys!

Tuesday's spelling bee was won by our very own Bryn Buff! Props to Bryn-I didn't know half of those words existed!

On Wednesday, we hosted our 2nd-ever Brotherly Experience Symposium, where our brothers give presentations on their school, career, and research experiences. MJ then followed up with a cozy game night.

Thursday, MJ hosted a powerpoint night, encouraging brothers to create a presentation about whatever topics they pleased!

Saturday morning, we started the day off with a visit to the Blacksburg Farmers Market, and ended the night with our highly anticipated MASQUERADE DATE PARTY!!! Our brothers showed up and showed out with their dates and danced the night away! 💃🕺

We all had a blast together, and we can't wait to do it all again next semester!

Reminiscing about Brotherhood Week with Lambda Iota Mu...✨

We kicked off the week with a short and sweet mini‑induction welcoming three new brothers into our chapter! Afterward, some stuck around for a few rounds of trivia hosted by our Brotherhood Chair, MJ.

We’re 12 weeks into the semester, and our brothers are continuing to make a positive impact! With invasive species removal in Stadium Woods and UCB trash pickup to helping out at Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival, Kipps Elementary Fall Festival, Hale Community Garden, Smithfield Plantation, Hokie Bugfest, Micah’s Backpack meal packing, and more, we've been working hard!

In addition, we completed successful service and brotherhood weeks! We're keeping the momentum going strong into the holiday season!

And as per usual, we encountered plenty of creatures! 🐈🐀🦎

Join us on Wednesday, November 12th for our Fall Brotherly Experience Symposium! 📝 The event will take place from 6-8 PM in McBryde Hall, room 113.

We will have brothers sharing presentations about jobs, internships, undergraduate research experience, graduate school, class projects, and more!

If you are interested in presenting, it's not too late to fill out the interest form!
★ Alumni and brothers are encouraged to share their experiences in a 5-7 minute presentation.
★ Both in-person and zoom options are available. Video presentations may also be submitted!

25% of proceeds will benefit GALS Southwest VA, a program created for high school students to learn science hands-on while backpacking through the wilderness, while increasing opportunities for underrepresented groups.

Pull up to the Drillfield on Tuesday, October 28th for Lambda Iota Mu's thrift pop up!
Come cop a new outfit, fall staple, or even a last-minute piece for your halloween costume! 🎃

All proceeds will go to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, and whatever’s left will be donated to local thrift stores. Come support a good cause!
