Now that it’s officially official...please join us in welcoming Dr. Brad Campbell as Interim Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice!

Dr. Campbell joined the department in 2015 as an Assistant Professor after earning his Ph.D. from Sam Houston State University. Dr. Campbell was promoted to Associate Professor in 2021 and joined the Southern Police Institute as faculty in 2022, teaching in the Administrative Officers Course with a focus on Trauma-Informed Policing.

Last year, Dr. Campbell became the founding director of the SPI Center for Training Research and Innovative Simulation (SPI TRAINS), an initiative that brings evidence-based training to life through immersive, realistic scenarios in partnership with UofL’s Department of Theatre Arts.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Campbell on this new leadership role!

A message from Dr. Campbell:
“I’m honored to serve as interim chair and look forward to working with our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners to continue strengthening the department’s teaching, research, and community impact.”
