We're proud to see Bellarmine Lacrosse showing what it means to be a Knight! Through its 2025–26 charity duel fundraiser, the team raised $2,800 in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Donate Life.

It’s a powerful reminder that our Knights continue to make an impact far beyond the field — through service, awareness and community.

Bellarmine alumna Sarah Landenwich ’05 is celebrating an exciting milestone — the paperback release of her novel, The Fire Concerto, on June 2.

To mark the occasion, Sarah will join Book Social 502 at 3rd Turn Brewing in J-Town on Wednesday, June 10, at 7 p.m. The event will feature an author interview and a custom drink inspired by the book. Carmichael’s will also be on-site selling copies of the paperback.

June 10 also happens to be the first birthday of The Fire Concerto, making the evening event more special.

Sarah will also take part in the Voice and Vision Reading Series, reading a new essay, at the 21c Hotel on Thursday, July 16, at 6 p.m. The event will feature readings from four local writers alongside curated art from the 21c gallery.

Congratulations to Sarah on the paperback release of The Fire Concerto and the continued progress of her next novel, tentatively titled A Place to Rest.

Congratulations to Bellarmine alumnus David Shearn ’13 who was honored as this year's recipient of the John Wiegel '80 BU Men’s Basketball Alumni Award.

Presented by John Wiegel and former Bellarmine men’s basketball head coach Scotty Davenport, the award, recognizes his continued support, leadership, and impact on the Bellarmine basketball community both on and off the court.

During his time at Bellarmine, Shearn served as a manager for the Bellarmine Men's Basketball program. Shearn was also involved with Bellarmine men’s golf during his time as a student and competed for the Knights.

Shearn received this award during the Davenport Derby Dash earlier this month.
