We’re proud to highlight the work of the Christian Healthcare Professionals of Sullivan (CHiPS) and their recent Snacks in Sacks service event! Thanks to the dedication of CHiPS members and the generosity of our campus community, students assembled 202 snack bags to support individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Snacks in Sacks is a local nonprofit that provides ready‑to‑eat, individually wrapped snack bags to community members who may not have consistent access to food. Each bag is easy to carry, requires no preparation, and offers meaningful support.

Thank you to everyone who donated and/or volunteered during the packing event. Your support strengthens our community partnerships and makes a real difference.

Dean Misty Sutz, Dr. Dale English, and several of our PharmD students recently participated in the Standard of Care Summit hosted by the Advancing Pharmacy Practice in Kentucky Coalition (APPKC) at the UK College of Pharmacy.

The summit highlighted efforts to move pharmacy practice in Kentucky toward a standard of care regulatory model—an approach that expands patient access to care while empowering pharmacists to practice at the top of their training and expertise.

A special thank you to Kyle Bryan, CAPP Director of Professional Affairs at the UK College of Pharmacy and summit chair, for leading this impactful event and sharing these photos with us!

It takes a TEAM to keep patients safe! PharmD Class of 2028 student Austin Foe was invited recently to the Webster County Area Technology Center to speak with pre-health profession and CNA student These students joined forces in an interprofessional collaboration where “nurses” identified medication mistakes—interactions, allergies, and more—and then worked together to build safe, effective care plans. Thanks to Austin for representing Sullivan and the pharmacy profession!

Real roles. Real scenarios. Real learning. This is how we prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals! 💙
