We are pleased to share the following opportunity on behalf of our community partner, Home Away from Home Therapeutic Center.

Join Them This Summer for Family Mental Health & Wellness
Home Away from Home Therapeutic Center will be offering a series of family-focused mental health and wellness events throughout the summer, centered on healing, connection, and community support.

The upcoming schedule includes:

May 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM – Caregiver Kickoff Workshop
June 2026 – Youth Wellness Workshops
July 2026 – Family Engagement Experience
August 2026 – Community Events (two events)

These events are designed to support caregivers, youth, and families through education, engagement, and accessible mental health resources.

Vendor Opportunities
Home Away from Home Therapeutic Center will offer free vendor opportunities during the August community events. Vendors are asked to provide their own table, tent (if outdoors), and chairs. Additional details and dates will be shared directly by the host.

The Kentucky Fair Housing Council is offering a free three-hour webinar designed for housing providers and social service providers. They will be discussing general fair housing laws and answering any questions you might have.

The training is designed for landlords, property managers, and service providers, but they welcome anyone who wants to learn about fair housing rights.

Certificates will be provided for those who attend. Attendees who wish to receive a certificate from this training will be required to complete an online survey after the training.

KHC and the WVCEH, in partnership with OrgCode Consulting, are pleased to announce the fourth annual Summit on Preventing and Ending Rural Homelessness.

The Summit is a unique and collaborative rural BoS intensive conference for providers in the KY BoS CoC and the WV BoS CoC. The Summit will include expert-led sessions facilitated by OrgCode Consulting, Inc., with theme sessions facilitated by homeless services industry innovators from around the country.

Throughout the weeklong conference, Summit participants will have the opportunity to network among peers, ask questions of the experts, explore and refine leadership skills in the space of ending homelessness, and engage in meaningful, solution-driven conversations. The Summit will be interactive, thought-provoking and grounded in the realities and challenges of delivering homeless programs and services in rural geographies.

The Summit is a free in-person training event April 20–24, 2026, at the Delta Hotel, 1441 Wi******er Ave, Ashland, KY 41101.

Registration closes Friday, April 10 for KY BoS and WV BoS CoC partner agencies. Registration is required.

Summit At a Glance:
The Summit will place a strong emphasis on system-level themes within the dynamic landscape of homeless services. In addition to content from OrgCode, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from national experts in leadership, innovation, system-of-care responses, and lived expertise in the space of ending homelessness. The Summit will also provide participants with expert-led wellness opportunities in the mornings and at the close of each day.

The target audience for this event includes organizational leadership, program management, and experienced direct service staff. This year's Summit will center on overarching principles of excellence and resolve in the homeless services sector. Additionally, OrgCode will host a "Back to Basics" Training the following month (May 4-8) for staff who are new to the field or require a refresher on the fundamentals of the homeless response system and supportive services.
Please note: this year's event is a weeklong conference, whereby participants will register one time for the event and have access to all sessions and breakouts. Registrants are encouraged to attend the event in its entirety. At the conclusion of each day, participants will have the option of continuing the conversation of the day's content with the experts and KHC and WVCEH staff.
