We were grateful to partner with Residence Life and the Office of Identity and Inclusion to bring back an MLK Day tradition—marching in memory of his dream and in recognition of our dreams for our community today. Thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff who joined us today, and to our speakers who reminded us of Bellarmine's Civil Rights History.

Stop by Bellarmine Wednesday evening to get a head start on your holiday shopping at our first Winter Maker Market! Students and recent alumni will be selling handmade artisan goods and other unique items—such as pottery, prints, knitted winter wear, vintage clothes, and stationery—from 5:30-7:30 PM in Frazier Hall. Parking will be free outside Frazier, and most items will be under $20.

Additionally, we will be hosting a drive at the Market to collect new or gently-used hats, gloves, scarves, coats, boots, and blankets for Hip Hop Cares, a local community partner who works with people experiencing homelessness in Louisville.

Support our Bellarmine artisans and the greater Louisville community at this one-stop holiday shop!

Enjoying those last few days of summer? We had a wild summer of transition in the SAC, changing things up a bit! The Student Activities Center has merged with the Office of Service and Leadership to form one office. We’ll continue to host all the campus traditions that make this place feel like home, while also connecting you to the Bellarmine and Louisville community. ⚜️ We’re still just across from the bookstore, so stop in to say hey, meet our new team, and hear more about what we’ve spent the summer planning for you, Knights! ⚔️ See you soon 🍍

PLUS — check out our Instagram story on to see how you can win TWO tickets to see The Chainsmokers with 5 Seconds of Summer November 6! Open to current students only. Contest ends on the first day of classes.

We are so grateful to partner in this effort and proud of our Bellarmine University community for supporting it.

Are you joining us for CreativeMornings Louisville tomorrow for with Kaila Adia Story and Jaison Ashley Gardner of Strange Fruit: Musings on Politics, Pop Culture, and Black Gay Life?

Together with Bellarmine University Office of Service and Leadership, The Forgotten Louisville, and Hip Hop Cares, we can take part in their emergency relief drive to support those in our community experiencing homelessness by bringing reusable bags (duffels, backpacks, grocery sacks, etc.), weather-proof boots, travel-size toiletries, and new socks + underwear to the Speed!
