Congratulations to our team of editors and editorial staff of the Journal Frontiers Cellular & Infection Microbiology for the great progress our team work has achieved so far. I founded the Journal in 2010. We have grown so much and we split the journals into multiple specialty sections. We now have 13 specialty sections led by a team of 23 world renowned leaders as chief editors . These are supported by an outstanding team of 670 Associate Editors and over 2000 Review Editors and editorial board members. The success of our team work is clear from the number of our publications and our impact factor. Last year we published about 2500 publications including over 250 Research Topics. Our Impact factor last year is 6.073. This continued success could have not been achieved without the dedication and great team work of our editors and editorial staff at the Frontiers headquarters in Switzerland and London. Cheers for better things to come!

Explores bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses, endosymbionts, prions and all microbial pathogens as well as the microbiota and its effect on health and disease in various hosts.
