DifferenceMaker is MOVING! 🚚📦

We’re excited to announce that DifferenceMaker will be relocating from North Campus to East Campus during the week of November 16! 🎉

📍 Our new home: 201 Cabot Street, Lowell, MA 01854

As part of this move, DifferenceMaker will be combining a space with The Risk Institute, bringing both programs (Sustainability and DifferenceMaker) under one roof! Our new office will be a place where students can learn more about our programs, explore their innovative ideas, and connect with our team.

What does this mean for students?
While our office location is changing, our programs and opportunities are staying the same! All event and workshop locations will remain unchanged, and scheduled activities will continue to take place at their previously announced locations.

Students will still be welcome to stop by our new office at 201 Cabot Street to meet with the DifferenceMaker team. However, we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance to ensure a team member is available to meet with you!

📧 Email: [email protected]

Until the move is complete, students can continue visiting us at our current North Campus location.

Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for this exciting new chapter! 💙

Happy Team Tuesday! 🥳

This week, we’re highlighting Smart Escape, a DifferenceMaker team working to make fire evacuations safer and more efficient!

Using innovative LED lighting technology, Smart Escape helps guide people toward the safest exit routes during a fire, taking into account the location of the fire itself.

The team recently completed installations at Henry P. Clough Elementary School in Mendon, MA, and Joseph F. DiPietro Elementary School in Bellingham, MA! These installations feature an upgraded system designed to improve reliability, survivability, and serviceability.

Smart Escape is also working on upgrading its system at Blackstone Valley Tech High School and developing new software capabilities to expand its technology!

We’re excited to see what’s next for this team! 💙
