NCIU Graduate Admitted to German State University

A Bachelor graduate from NCIU has recently been admitted to postgraduate MBA studies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The Friedrich-Alexander-Universität is a reputable German state university. During the application process, the NCIU qualification was recognized as a qualifying degree. This is another proof of NCIU’s premier quality level of education. We wish the student success in his studies.

Congratulations to all of the New Covenant School of Missions Graduates!

Our VP and Registrar, Dr. Jörg Strate, conferred degrees at the graduation of students from the New Covenant School of Missions in Monrovia. Eight Bachelor and one Master certificates and transcripts were given out. This was the first graduation from this school, which has an Articulation Agreement with NCIU and is led by Bishop Sydney Thomas.

It was a momentous and joyful occasion, also attended by Erik Laursen, the CEO of New Covenant Missions. The next graduation will take place in 2025 in Ghana. Many of the Bachelor graduates intend to continue their education at Master level, and the Master graduates will start doctoral studies. We pray for abundant blessings and strength from the Lord.

Our Master's Degree students had an outstanding virtual class tonight. Our guest speaker, Björn Lütke, inspired us as he shared his church-planting journey. The principles he learned during this 33-year journey were just leadership gold!

There are only three weeks left in this specific course, and these students (four missing from the photo) will have completed two courses and will be moving into our summer term course. It's been an incredible journey with fourteen students living in six countries.

We are excited to share a new course being offered by NCIU. "Cross-Cultural Leadership".

This course explores the dynamics of cross-cultural leadership. It clarifies the difference between leadership and management, gives an essential understanding of responsibility, and focuses on building a covenant community of trust with power-giving leadership that does not seek control but risk-taking empowerment.

In this module, students will also investigate how cultural values (such as high-/low-context and high-/low-power structures, individualism/collectivism, and understanding of ambiguity) and Biblical interpretation impact leadership practices in multicultural contexts. In addition, multicultural situational leadership will be discussed.

Cross-cultural leadership is closely linked to multicultural (mission) teams. This course intends to equip leaders to respond to divisive issues so that multinational mission teams can do ministry in ways that honor God.

We are excited to announce that our Master of Arts in Church Planting and Revitalization is being offered in a cohort model. What does this mean? Instead of working as a self-paced student working with one of our tutors/mentors, you will be with a group of students, fulfilling weekly assignments and learning as a cohort group. Then, the entire class will participate in live monthly mentoring sessions via Zoom with well-experienced leaders.

The cohort will begin in February 2024, and space is limited to 15 students. Send us a message if you are interested.
