Alpha Psi Lambda - Texas Tech University Nation's first and largest Coed Latino Fraternity After reviewing their findings, the group decided to start a new Latino Greek organization.

Several students attending a Hispanic leadership retreat noted a need for Latino organizations at The Ohio State University. An exploratory group, led by Dr. Josue Cruz, Assistant Vice Provost to the Office of Minority Affairs, was formed to research possible fraternities and sororities. February 11, 1985

Alpha Psi Lambda was officially recognized as a National organization. Today
Alpha Psi Lambda has grown to include twenty-one chapters with over 2,000 members. It is the nation's first and largest co-ed Latino fraternity.

Today on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc. would like to honor and remember the innocent lives lost as well as the lives of all the first responders who worked tirelessly to save others. Let us also remember the solidarity we saw, experienced, and acted upon while moving forward. May we continue to support each other not just on this day but everyday.

As Juneteenth is recognized as a federal holiday for the first time, take an opportunity to reflect on our country’s history of slavery and the long-lasting effects we face today as we work towards racial equity. Consider participating by studying Black history, supporting Black-owned businesses, attending a celebration, and listening and amplifying Black leaders’ voices.

Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc. welcomes its newest entity, the Nicholls State University Affiliate Chapter, founded in Thibodaux, Louisiana, on April 16, 2021. The Affiliate Chapter is the first Latino Greek Letter Organization on campus and the first undergraduate entity of Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc. in the state of Louisiana. The Affiliate Chapter’s founding line “R.E.I.G.N. 5” is made up of the following students:

This milestone event was made possible by the Expansion Committee, chaired by Franky Garcia, including Georgia Alcazar, Monica Sanchez-Torres, and Zachary Palomo. The committee represents alumni experience from the following chapters: Zeta - University of Illinois at Chicago, Chi - Lewis University, and Alpha Iota - Western Illinois University.
