The credits received from ROTC classes go toward your degree and when you graduate, you’ll receive a degree and commission as a Second Lieutenant either on Active
Duty, the Army National Guard, or the Army Reserve. ROTC training goes beyond the typical college classroom, however, as students learn leadership techniques that go well beyond a tactical environment, and can be used in any setting, civilian or military. The first two years comprise the Basic Course. Whether students want to just get a feel for the program, add some leadership classes to their resume or go through the full program, students can enroll in the Basic Course classes without incurring any future military obligation.
