Spotted in the wild: Semester in Spain 2026 t-shirts worn by students excited to travel this fall!

The Spain 2026 Cohort spent the day Saturday starting to prepare for our time in Spain. It was a time of reflection on how we prepare and how we interpret our experiences. We shared our hopes and fears and were able to develop our relationships with one another.

We have a fantastic group and we hope you will consider being a part of our time abroad during the Fall 2027 semester.

Whether you consider it back to the salt mines or one of your favorite things, the fall semester has begun. It has been so nice to see activity on campus this past week.

Students, we are glad you are here and look forward to all of the experiences you will have this semester, both in Lubbock and other locations.

We invite all of you to join us in praying for these students as we begin this semester.

When we travel on a Global Campus trip, lots of students take lots of pictures of lots of subjects, many of them images of friends at unique places around the globe. But there often is an individual or two who sees scenes many of us miss. Hayden Coronado(.photography) is one of those students.

We asked Hayden to collect 10 of his favorite images from our recent E Pluribus Unum trip to Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. (Not an easy task to narrow it down to just ten!) so we could share them with you.

Thanks Hayden, and we hope you enjoy our trip from a slightly different perspective!

“E Pluribus Unum: Forging a Nation from Washington to Lincoln” is a course for incoming freshmen that enables students to travel to sites where historical events happened that shaped the nation. From Boston to Philadelphia to Washington D.C., students see where these events happened.

But it is not just a class to earn credit towards a degree plan. It is an opportunity where, as the fortune says, a lifetime of meaningful connections is formed. Students walk onto campus with a community, having shared the bond of travel with one another. They are ready to be successful in the classroom and in all of the activities that accompany the college life.

In fact, all of our Global Campus trips help prepare learners for a lifetime of experiences. From E Pluribus to a Semester in Spain to one of our Global Experiences May trips, students have a chance to grow in ways that help learning become more hands on, more adventurous, and more relational.

Students at LCU, where will you learn this year?
