Dr. Shanti Bilimoria, Professor of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech and a member of our faculty since September 1978 , passed away quietly this afternoon.

There will be a memorial service at the Lake Ridge Chapel at 10 am on Friday, July 5 here in Lubbock.

It is Lewis Held by the sign advertising a coffee that was created in his honor, the “Lewis Mocha”! He was a regular client of the J&B coffee shop on 19th & Quaker. Dr. Bernal took this shot just a few days before this coffee shop was closed permanently.
