Learning doesn’t always happen behind a desk! 🎯☢️
Today in Radiation Biology & Protection, our students put target theory to the test with a hands-on activity. The game demonstrated that radiation doesn’t “aim” for DNA—it interacts randomly.
Students also explored the difference between single-target and multi-target theory, seeing firsthand why it’s much more difficult for multiple critical targets to be affected than a single target. It was a fun way to visualize how radiation interactions occur by chance rather than by design.
🏆 Congratulations to our winners! Kelly managed to hit the single target not once, but twice—once in the original game and the tie-breaker securing the win for her team. Kylie dominated the multi-target challenge by landing the closest to hitting both critical targets.
