Proud moment for the Brothers of Texas Beta.

Congratulations to Dr. John J. “Jay” Vollet III ’66 on being recognized as an Outstanding Alumnus of Texas Tech University’s College of Arts & Sciences. During a distinguished 41-year career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, Jay helped lead numerous clinical trials in oncology and autoimmune diseases and has given back to Texas Tech by endowing professorships in molecular biology and immunology and supporting student scholarships.

We also celebrate the entrepreneurial success of Brothers Taylor Brewster ’20, Alec Hernandez ’18, Drew Pickens ’19, and Mason Sill ’20, founders of Town, an all-in-one digital operations platform helping restaurants manage online ordering, reservations, and customer engagement. What began as an idea among Texas Beta brothers has grown into a company serving hundreds of restaurants across the country.

From groundbreaking work in science and medicine to innovative entrepreneurship, Texas Beta continues to demonstrate the lifelong impact of Phi Kappa Psi brotherhood.

Happy Founder's Day Brothers, looking forward to seeing you all this weekend at The Jones! HI HI HI...

174 years ago today, two men chose courage over comfort — and brotherhood was born.

On February 19, 1852, William Henry Letterman and Charles Page Thomas Moore transformed late‑night vigils caring for classmates during a typhoid epidemic into something bigger than themselves. That choice became the beginning of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.

Their legacy became a standard. A call to lead with service. A reminder that friendship, honor, and truth aren’t slogans, but expectations.

Today, we celebrate the men who lit the torch, and every brother since who refuses to let it dim.

Friday, February 20th 6-8 pm: Safe travels into Lubbock and enjoy a laid-back night at Bash Riprock’’s with the brothers.

Saturday, February 21st 1-4 pm: Brotherhood watch party at the Phi Kappa Psi lodge. Join us at the lodge for an afternoon of grilling out and supporting our Red Raiders basketball team as they take on KSU. It is a home game so feel free to look for tickets with your pledge brothers.

Saturday, February 21st 6-8 pm: Join the
chapter for our annual formal presentation at Jones AT&T Stadium.

January is National Mentoring Month, a perfect time to celebrate the power of connection and professional growth within the Phi Psi community. The Paul R. I often reflect on what truly moves Phi Psi forward, and it always comes back to the people who give so much of themselves. The volunteers who mentor and guide, the Alumni Associations and Housing Corporations who support our chapters and communities, the staff who keep our mission on course, and the undergraduates who carry our values into the future.

Each of you plays a vital role in strengthening the lifelong power of our fraternity. Your time, your talent, your treasure, your leadership, and your heart ensure that Phi Psi remains an experience that changes lives. Whether you are helping a chapter thrive, reconnecting brothers across generations, investing in a safe home for our members, or shaping the next wave of leaders, your impact reaches far beyond the moment. It echoes forward.

So today, I want to say thank you. Thank you for showing up, for believing in what Phi Psi can be, and for living the spirit of our brotherhood in all you do. The bonds built here continue to transform lives, and I am grateful to stand alongside each of you in this work.

Just got back from an energizing weekend in Indy with the Brotherhood of Phi Psi, and I couldn’t be more proud of the direction we’re heading.

We kicked off at COhatch Polk Stables for Summit, where we dug into alumni engagement, paid chapter advisors, housing updates from Canonsburg, and chapter services offered by The Foundation. From there, we headed to The Foundation’s Holiday Party at Laurel Hall — and if you haven’t visited headquarters yet, you really should. Not many fraternities can say they have a castle on a hill!

Saturday morning came early, and the Executive Council got straight to work. We celebrated major wins from our colonies, including MIT announcing they’ll be submitting their petition for chartering — huge moment. We also passed updated national award criteria, reviewed the Mentoring Advantage Program (pairing undergrads with alumni mentors, select TX Beta or expand beyond to other chapters — free to join: https://www.phikappapsi.com/programming/mentoring-advantage-program/), and went over some exciting updates for GAC.

And yes… undergraduates arre going to love what’s coming (not to mention the seven pools)! Scottsdale. The Phoenician. July 15–18. Registration opens on Black Friday!

Great weekend, great progress, and always great to spend time with my Brothers.

Update on Texas Beta - We had a great Alumni Weekend, thanks to everyone who made it out to Lubbock, great get together & football game! Great job undergrads! 💪🔴🟢

Proud to report that Phi Psi won the IFC Flag Football Championship defeating Pike in the semis & Fiji in the finals 24-20 🏈💪🏆

The Chapter elected/celebrated our new Phi Psi sweethearts Monday at Chapter, 4 great young ladies!

The Chapter finished 3rd this year in Sing Song/Homecoming with the great ladies of Alpha Xi Delta 👊❤️

Update on alumni weekend tailgate for this Saturday (11/8/25) - Tent locations have been changed due to College Football Gameday being in Lubbock this weekend. Our tent will be at S1 from 8am - kickoff. Entrance is located by the parking lot facing the stadium.
