Robeson Community College Criminal Justice Technology Program The Criminal Justice Technology curriculum is designed to provide knowledge of criminal justice systems and operations.

The study will focus on local, state, and federal law enforcement, judicial processes, corrections, and security services. The criminal justice system’s role within society will be explored. Emphasis is on criminal justice systems, criminology, juvenile justice, criminal and constitutional law, investigative principles, ethics, and community relations. Additional study may include issues and conce

pts of government, counseling, communications, computers, and technology. Employment opportunities exist in a variety of local, state, and federal law enforcement, corrections, and security fields. Examples include police officers, deputy sheriffs, county detention officers, state trooper, intensive probation/parole surveillance officers, correctional officers, and loss prevention specialists. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS
A high school diploma (or equivalent), satisfactory scores on college placement tests (or equivalent), and a minimum GPA in English and mathematics are required. If students have deficiencies in English and/or mathematics, RCC offers pre-college courses to prepare students for the Criminal Justice Technology curriculum.

Due to Tropical Storm Ian, all classes at Robeson Community College will move to online instruction for Friday, September 30, 2022. There will be no face-to face classes. Students are asked to please check with their instructors regarding clinicals and other field related classes.

The college will resume a normal operating schedule on Monday October 3, 2022. The college asks that students, faculty, and staff continue to check the RCC website and social media pages for the latest updates.
