2001 RCC Alumni Ralphael Locklear and his company, South Eastern General Contractors, were selected to spearhead the changing of the post signs from Fort Bragg to Fort Liberty. Locklear said he is thankful for the opportunity and excited about what the future holds for his company moving forward.

Interview with an RCC Alum!

Name: Azure Thompson
Graduation Year: 2011
Degree: Associate in Arts

Azure Thompson began her college journey 7-years after graduating from high school and serving 6-years in NC National Guard. Thompson obtained her Associate in Arts degree in 2011 from RCC. As a single mother to a child with Type 1 Diabetes and ADHD, she did not let her circumstances derail her success. She is now a self-published author with plans for a second book and is employed by the Public Schools of Robeson County.

Thompson says that she pushes others to attend RCC frequently because the instructors are attentive, and you can always go to them for help. “God always puts the right people in your path,” says Thompson. The instructors Thompson met along her RCC journey encouraged her to persevere and publish her work, making her the self-published author she is today!
