Want to print an Alumni T-shirt or a product with our school’s name or logo? You can! Lynchburg’s licensed vendors is listed at http://learfieldlicensing.com/vendor-list/.

We have partnered with Learfield to protect our name, logo, and brand. This is great news for everyone. You can find the products you want. The only catch—you can no longer order products without using an approved vendor or by placing an order with the Campus Store. The school collects a small fee and licensing royalty money helps the Athletic and Academic Departments.

Alumni who want to sell Lynchburg items thru their business may become a licensed vendor. Visit this web site for more information: http://learfieldlicensing.com.

To download a list of current licensees and products for a particular institution, use the free-form search box or choose a college or university from the list below.

Many of you wrote to check on our community and the school. We appreciate your concern. Below is an update on College Lake. If you are planning to visit campus in the next 6-8 weeks, please know that part of Lakeside Drive from the dam to campus is closed. Plans are to keep the bridge closed for 6-8 weeks while design and construction can occur to reopen to 2 lanes.

Here is a message that was sent to campus.

College Lake:

“The City of Lynchburg began draining College Lake on Saturday morning to relieve concerns about flooding and the stability of the dam. The water level has fallen significantly, exposing the lakebed in much of the area. The city has asked the public to stay away from the stream area near the dam; not to walk on the lakebed; and to stay out of blockaded areas where Lakeside Drive is closed. This includes the section of Lakeside Drive in front of the main entrance to our campus. The University of Lynchburg asks that students, faculty, and staff respect the city's request for their personal safety. Click here for more information.

The city also announced that the portion of Lakeside Drive that encompasses the dam and the University's main campus entrance will remain closed for six to eight weeks while the roadway is repaired from damage sustained in Thursday's rain storm. The city has established a detour that uses Old Forest Road. Click here for details from the city's news release.

Because of the road closure, the University recommends all visitors, students, faculty, staff, and alumni use Vernon Street and College Street to access entrances to campus.

With the lake drained, Blackwater Creek has already begun carving a channel through the lakebed. City staff members have indicated that this week's events make it a higher priority to reach a final decision regarding the future of the dam and the lake. The University is committed to working with the city to find a solution that serves the general public and the University.

As updates become available, we will communicate via email, social media, text messaging and the University’s home page: www.lynchburg.edu
