A Short Masonic Lecture on Unity and Elections
By Bro. Welsh
Brethren and Sisters,
As we approach another season of elections within our beloved 23rd Masonic District, let us remember that the true strength of Masonry is not found in titles, offices, or positions, but in the bonds of brotherly love, relief, and truth that unite us all.
Elections are an important part of our institution. They give every member a voice and an opportunity to help shape the future of our District. However, once the ballots have been cast and the results have been announced, our duty remains the same: to work together in harmony for the good of the Craft.
Differences of opinion will always exist, but those differences should never divide us. As Masons, we are taught to meet upon the level, act by the plumb, and part upon the square. We must put aside personal disagreements, support our elected leaders, and focus on the mission before us.
The future of our District depends not only on those who hold office today, but also on the young brothers and sisters who will become the leaders of tomorrow. They are watching us. They are learning from our actions. Let us show them what true Masonic unity looks like. Let us leave them a legacy of cooperation, respect, and service.
Together, with one vision and one purpose, we can continue building a stronger 23rd Masonic District for generations to come.
May we always remember that the success of one is the success of all, and that our greatest achievements are accomplished when we labor together in peace and unity.
So Mote It Be.
