Lyndon State Adventure Program

Lyndon State Adventure Program Adventuring in the Northeast Kingdom and beyond. This is the gateway page for all things Adventure in the Kingdom.

LSAP covers a lot of ground in bringing new and experienced adventurerers to the NEK and beyond in the fields of biking, skiing, climbing, and hiking. We are also the #1 program for schools, businesses, and organizations to come and work in the field of group development and challenge course programming. With our experienced facilitators and trip leaders, you get more than just an event, you get a fantastic opportunity to grow.

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
- Dr. Suess

Bitter sweet. That's the taste in your mouth when you finally see an end you didn't think would come for a long time. It's easy to lose track of time in a job like this because every year you see a new crop of students come in and every year you see the gang that you've put together leave. It's been that way a long time - eleven years! - and I have loved every minute of it. The challenges, the dreaming, the trips and the laughter. The tough conversations in the office and on the trail and the way each and every one of the people connected to this program brought their energy, personality, and passion to make it happen.

This is my last week as the head honcho of the Adventure Program. It has been a privilege and honor to have had the opportunity to grow this program and to have grown with it. I will certainly miss the camaraderie, the creativity, and the many, many people that have made it happen over the years. I wish us all the best of luck and hope that you check in with the Struckles every now and then - I like to know what my kids are up to...

Per usual, the door is always open and you are always welcome at our table.🤗

Awful...rain in the forecast for today is putting the brakes on our first evening ride today! But fear not! We will be running that same ride on the one day that it looks like there'll be sunny and dry conditions - Thursday! Right after the MRM department BBQ we'll be getting back on our horses and letting the wheels fly! Stay tuned for more info!

Good morning folks! Just a heads up to biker, Disc Golf players, walkers and runners on the LSC campus - there is a logging operation underway in the Mortal Combat woods (the pine plantation on the Presidents Hill where holes 13 and 14 live) so please refrain from playing in there for the time being. I will shout out the all clear when I get a better handle on how long this operation will take. Thanks!

Welcome to the first day of Spring, folks!! Lots going on this evening so please pay attention! First off, we'll be having an informational meeting at 8pm in HAC regarding the WV Spring break trip - that's two weeks away!! That'll cover a lot of ground in terms of expectations, trip itinerary and generating a 'needs' list for people who don't have a lot of gear.

Immediately after that will be the judging of the photo shoot for this term so if you are thinking of entering, make sure that you are at the meeting tonight with your best shots!

Can't wait!! See you guys there!
