Over 350 research projects from students at UMaine and UMaine Machias were showcased at the 2026 Student Symposium in Orono which was co-hosted by CUGR, Student Government, and the Graduate Student Government.
This year, five UMaine Machias students presented their work, either individually or as part of collaborative teams with peers from Orono. 👏
Congratulations to Hayden Kittell, Savanah Quirion, Reilly Hedden, Madeleine Soriano, and William Kemler on representing Machias so well!
A special shoutout to Hayden Kittell of UMaine Machias along with teammates Diana Goode and Moria Weese-Myers, who won in the Biomedical Sciences category for their project, “MHCII Expression in Differential Doses of Chemotherapy Treatment on Mice.” The group was advised by Professor William Otto of UMaine Machias. 🏆
