Welcome back, everyone!

To combat the freezing temperatures, Film Club wanted to lighten the mood by screening comedies throughout the semester.

Welcome Back, Film Club aficionados! and Welcome Back to our amazing students!

WIU Film Club is back, with our two new awesome officers --Film Club President, Bianca and Treasurer Nadya! And, 'old/former' Faculty Advisor, Dr. Di Carmine, is also back!

Below is the list of film screenings and meeting starting Wednesday 08/28 at 5:30pm in 220 Simpkins. All WIU students are welcome to attend!

I am Dr. Roberta Di Carmine and I am writing as the Film Club faculty advisor to inform you that I am on a year sabbatical and the former president and treasurer of the Film Club have graduated so we are taking a break this year as student organization! But, in August 2022 we will be back with new officers and a fantastic year full of film screenings and discussions! wishing a great, exciting year to our wonderful WIU students!

Hey you guys!
Today from 4-6pm, we’ll be holding our first film club zoom meeting of the semester! With the theme centering Black history month and Black films, our first discussion will be based around concepts and ideas commonly seen within films that have to do with Black individuals within films. So, think about common(and different) themes that could be found within films from Moonlight or Black Panther or One Night in Miami.

Hey guys! I hope you’ve been having a great 2021 so far! With the new year, we will be continuing with the virtual format due to COVID restrictions and we’ll be starting this all off with the Spring Virtual Activites Fair! Stop by the google meet room at 4pm tomorrow to sign up or ask any questions! I’ll be there to help with anything you guys need. I’ll post the official club poster tonight but I hope to see you all at the meet tomorrow!
