Pahela Baishakh 1432 Celebration

We are delighted to share that we had the privilege of celebrating Pohela Baishakh in this land we now call home away from home. The Bangladeshi community came together in the spirit of joy, culture, and unity. From homemade food including Ilish, Vat, Bhorta to vibrant attire and beautiful performances, the evening was filled with warmth and memories we’ll cherish for a long time.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, contributed, cooked, supported and made the event so special. Your presence truly lit up the celebration. We are especially grateful to Wesley United Methodist Church of Macomb, IL for their kindness, support, and for honoring our culture with such grace. Wishing you all a year full of peace, love, and prosperity.

A warm welcome to our new members—you have extended our BSA family to a record-breaking number, surpassing all past milestones! We are thrilled to have you with us and can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey together. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone including who cooked the delicious meals, provided transportation, and supported us tirelessly in every means. Bangla Bonding- A fresh Start of Fall '24 at WIU

Bangladeshi Students Association (BSA) at WIU organized a wonderful orientation program to warmly welcome our new students. The event was filled with joy, laughter, delicious food and an incredible cultural program showcasing the diverse talents in our community. A huge thank you to everyone who made this day possible—the organizers, performers, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure its success. Your dedication has set the tone for an exciting year ahead, and we can't wait to create more lasting memories together. Here's to new beginnings and a bright future!

We had an amazing time representing the Bangladeshi Student Association (BSA) at the Annual Student Organization Fair! 🎉 It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with fellow students and organizations, share our culture, and connect with so many enthusiastic individuals.

A big thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, and expressed interest in what we do. The energy and excitement were contagious, and we’re looking forward to welcoming new members to our BSA family!
