Dear Sigma Delta Pi, Alpha Alpha Lambda Chapter:

We will be having an initiation this spring for our new members: Nancy Dávila, Yadira Martínez, Cintya López, Shea Fili, Madeline Heinzer, Nicole Spencer, Janett Arcos, and Yesenia Gradilla. The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at 5:00 PM in Morgan Hall 330. All members are encouraged to attend. Please wear your pin.

Part of the ceremony will be the presentation of honor cords to graduating seniors. If you are graduating and you'd like an honor cord for commencement, please let me know in an email ASAP, so that I may order one for you. The cost for the honor cord is $5.

Regardless of whether or not you're graduating, I hope to see you at the ceremony. Please let me know if you plan on attending so that I can have enough supplies on hand for the reception. Please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to help set the room up. Also, if you're interested in participating in the ceremony by reading a literary passage, please let me know, and I'll assign one to you. (I think the ceremony is nicer when more people get involved, even if it's in small ways.)

We'll also be in touch soon about (very) preliminary plans for next year, including the election of chapter officers. If you'll be back to WIU next year, please think about serving in some capacity so that we can become more active.
