The fourth annual Knight at the Oscars was held on May 4, 2026, and it is a formal evening of lights, camera, and action, as students in the School of Arts and Letters are honored for their hard work throughout the semester. The event is an opportunity to celebrate the very best in the areas of History, Journalism, Film, Media Production, Screenwriting, Advanced Editing, and Sports Broadcasting. Professors honored students’ creativity that informed, inspired, and connected the campus communities through powerful films, groundbreaking stories, or reflections on U.S. History.

Final chance to enjoy an evening of theatre at MGA as we present Picasso at the Lapin Agile written by Steve Martin.

Comedian Steve Martin’s absurd comedy of historical fiction, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, has Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso meet in a bar in Paris in 1904, the year before Einstein’s theory of relativity and Picasso’s transition into cubism. The two celebrities of science and art spar for their fields, surrounded by a cast of supporting characters from the turn of the century and beyond. The anachronistic, self-referential, and self-aware nature of this short one-act enraptures audiences into thinking about the role both science and art play in our lives, the men (and women) who inspire genius, and the philosophies that shape our world over the modern centuries.

TONIGHT is your last chance to see Betty the Yeti on the Cochran campus.

There's a crisis in the forest. The EPA has designated 3,000 acres of the Willamette National Forest in Blue River, Oregon, as a "critical habitat" for the Spotted Owl, an endangered species. All logging has stopped, and all the lumber jacks are unemployed. In a pique of frustration, one out-of-work logger, Russ T. Sawyer, has withdrawn from society and set up camp deep in the woods. He’s lost his job, his wife, and his sense of purpose in life to a world he no longer understands. Then, something completely unexpected happens: Russ encounters a yeti and connects with the natural world in ways he could have never imagined. But, as is often the case, when man intervenes in the natural world, there are unintended consequences.

Come see our theatre production of Betty the Yeti!
