We had another amazing day with our Mercer On-Campus Experience for Georgia Military College Prep School 5th grade! Special thanks to senior Computer Science student and Homecoming Queen Ashton Mayo-Beavers for all of her work on these events as part of her service project, Dr. Bob Allen for his computer science expertise in the Creativity Lab where they made custom GMC coasters, Dr. Melinda Jones Hollingshed, Industrial Engineering professor, for her statistical data analysis activities, and Dr. Robert Sarlay and the medical school student volunteers for the First Aid 101 simulation, Jeopardy, and Infection Control Germs simulation. It was a great day! Thank you Maj. Trina Shy and Maj. Cheryl Weaver for spending the day with us. 🧡🖤❤️🖤

We would like to congratulate our 2023 Don Cargill STEM Scholar Award recipient, Staci Windham, STEM Teacher at Susie Dasher Elementary The STEAM School in Dublin City Schools. Ms. Windham's project "3D Dreams for STE(A)M" will bring 3D pens to the STEM lab to use for innovation and creativity while incorporating science skills. Congrats, again Ms. Windham!

We are proud to partner with Northwest Laurens Elementary School to kick off our Innovative Grant work, "Literature in STEM - Makerspace on the Go (Part 2)" We will be conducting a monthly after school STEM Club focused on STEM Stories and popular children's literature. This month's book is: "How to Catch a Witch" What a fun afternoon we had with the K-2 students!
