Wesleyan College Teacher Education Department Educating Exemplary Teachers

Wesleyan College's Education Department envisions a diverse and multicultural global society in which students must be able to confront the challenges of an ever-changing, demanding technological world. In an effort to help students meet these challenges, the education department focuses on developing and sustaining exemplary teachers (initial and advanced) who share their passion for academic excellence, their intellectual curiosity, and their caring spirit for the global community.

It is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to one our former education majors Kristina Battles. Kristina passed away yesterday and will be missed dearly by those who knew her. She was witty, smart, hard working, and one of the most generous souls around. If you knew her you had a friend for life. Sending our prayers to her family and reflecting on how her life impacted those around her today. Rest in peace Kristina. You will be missed!

The time is drawing near! We only have 9 more days until donations for the upcoming Macon's Got Talent; Dancing with the Stars event to benefit the Alzheimer's Association will end. What does this mean? Those dancers in the lead at this time get the better dance slots the night of the event! In other words...I DO NOT WANT TO BE THE FIRST DANCER ON THAT STAGE! So...I need your help! I am NOT in the lead for People's Choice or any other choice right now for that matter! So help me fix this situation! Here is the link to contribute. (https://act.alz.org/site/TR?px=23466675&pg=personal&fr_id=18074). You can contribute in one of three ways...1---you can simply send in a monetary donation (Seriously ANY amount is appreciated!) OR 2---you can buy a seat at a table to attend the event and be there in person to see me making an attempt at East Coast Swing! OR 3---you can buy a whole table and bring a group of friends to get rowdy, enjoy a great meal, a full bar, and a fantastic show for a GREAT cause! Come on my Facebook friends! Help me make a GREAT showing for this cause and contribute to my page!

Now that I finally have been assigned a partner, I can make the official announcement! I'll be representing Wesleyan College - First For Women, specifically the Wesleyan College Teacher Education Department and the Wesleyan College Master of Education programs in this year's Macon's Got Talent Dancing with the Stars competition to benefit Alzheimer's. David Sisk and I have already started practicing, selected our song, and are so excited to be a part of this incredibly worthy event.

You can support us in several ways.
1-you can scan the QR code and donate to my site. Even $1 helps so PLEASE consider donating on my behalf!
2-you can get a group together and buy a table and attend the event to support and cheer us on in person!
3-if you own or know a business, they can also purchase tables and share the tickets with employees, family, and friends.

The event promises to be SUPER fun with an open bar, dinner, and tons of entertainment!

I hope you will support not only me as I venture into this exciting but incredibly SCARY adventure but this oh so important cause.
