Our sister Allison Leow went abroad to Greece:

“While in Greece we got to visit a different site everyday while also giving site reports at each site. We traveled from Athens to Ancient Corinth to Delphi, stopping at various places as we went. Each person was assigned two site reports to present and I personally did the Theatre at Epidaurus and Nemea and the Stadiums. I got both my INT 301 and PHI 269 credits on this trip.

I was so lucky to go to Greece, I was able to make lasting connections with the professors and friendships with the people on the trip, as well as get the chance to explore Greece with wonderful people.”

Our sister Ellen Jones spent time this summer serving in Kenya on a Mercer on Mission:

“We worked with the Kenya Bureau of Standards to train East African governments to build capacity for enforcing lead standards in consumer products, mainly paint. We also presented at Multimedia University about how to make liquid and spray paint samples as well as water analysis and testing for elemental mercury.

I personally ran one of our field teams going out into different parts of Nairobi to purchase paint. I demonstrated our liquid paint sampling to the scientists from other countries and explained the mercury tester for the university students.”
