For the Macon Alumnae Chapter, this was not a summer off- it was a summer on, filled with purpose and service. During July and August, MAC members devoted their time to Back‑to‑School Bashes throughout all five service areas, standing alongside our students, families, and educators as they prepared for a new academic year. We simply could not remain on the sidelines. Supporting our youth is both our responsibility and our privilege. By showing up, we invest in the next generation and strengthen the communities we proudly serve.

The Macon Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is currently accepting applications for our Delta Academy and GEMS programs for the 2026-2027 session. The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy and Dr. Jeanne Noble Delta GEMS are free programs that assist young girls in grades 6-12 to prepare for full participation as leaders in the 21st Century.

A mandatory Parent Orientation will be held on September 12, 2026, at 1 p.m. The location is to be determined at a later date.

The Macon Alumnae Chapter proudly celebrates Monica Coleman‑Jackson, Priscilla Stanley, and Annette Dunn on their election to the Executive Board of the Albany State University National Alumni Association (ASUNAA) – Macon Chapter. Their commitment to service and excellence strengthens the legacy of Albany State University and the community.

We also joyfully congratulate Soror Monical Hall on her selection and graduation from the prestigious National Funeral Directors Association National Emerging Leaders Program. Chosen as one of only seventeen professionals nationwide, she exemplifies promise, dedication, and leadership within the funeral service profession. Her achievement inspires us all!

CHAPTER MEMBER SPOTLIGHT!
Please join us in celebrating three of our amazing members on their prestigious new leadership appointments!

Dr. Ansley Booker has been appointed to the National Services to Youth Committee of The Links, Inc. by National President Dr. Shauna Tucker-Sims. In this national role, Dr. Booker will help empower Black youth to reach their highest potential and become impactful leaders.

Bre’yanna Johnson has been appointed to the Paine College 40 Under 40 Association, Inc. Executive Board, where she will serve as Financial Secretary.

Dr. Tanzy Kilcrease was appointed by State Superintendent Richard Woods as the new Deputy Superintendent for School & District Improvement and Chief Turnaround Officer for the Georgia Department of Education!

Once again, we are celebrating excellence & leadership! The Macon Alumnae Chapter proudly recognizes chapter members Shana Johnson Burton and Kristie Roberts-Lewis, Ph.D. for their continued dedication to civic leadership and community empowerment. Both dynamic leaders will be installed Saturday, July 25, 2026, as officers for the newly chartered National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), Macon-Middle Georgia Section. We applaud their ongoing commitment to service and look forward to the tremendous impact they will continue to make across Middle Georgia. Drop some love and congratulations in the comments below!

We are proud to spotlight Dr. Ansley Alicia Booker as our Business of the Month! Dr. Ansley Alicia Booker is the CEO and Founder of Ansley Booker Educational Services, LLC. She is a 2x TEDx speaker, consultant, catalyst for change, author, professor, and Ronald E. McNair Trio Scholar. In addition to developing STEM curriculum for high school and collegiate students as an adjunct professor, she has served as a mentor and volunteer for numerous programs in the Macon community, including Streets to Success and Real I.M.P.A.C.T. Center, a local non-profit, to ensure young girls in 3rd-8th grade are exposed to STEM disciplines. She holds numerous awards and recognitions and is a recent graduate of Leadership Macon 2019 and the Urban CEO Leadership Academy Cohort 3.
