On October 7, 1849, original master of horror Edgar Allan Poe died. His stories have frightened, fascinated, and entertained people for generations, as evident in the continued retellings of his work.

In Poe's memory and in honor of the spooky season, check out MORE THAN LOVE: THE ENDURING FASCINATION WITH EDGAR ALLAN POE. Edited by Amy Branam Armiento, this collection of essays by various contributors explores Poe's impact that transcends time and place. What a gorgeous day in Decatur Saturday for the Decatur Book Festival! Cool breezes, friendly people, and tons of book love. The audience at Andrew Greer’s presentation for his book MORE THAN A PRESIDENT got a treat as he was moderated by Jimmy Carter’s niece Kim Carter Fuller, and then the Carters’ son Chip made a special appearance. We are delighted for all of our featured authors and wish them great success.
